ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - After a nearly 45 year break, the Bedford County Fair returns this weekend. The event features activities for all ages including a youth livestock show, car show as well as a wine tasting, rides, food and more.
It's Friday from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Smith Mountain Lake Parkway.

If your car is in need of a bath, you can head to Fairlawn on Saturday. The Pulaski County Humane Society holds its annual Car Wash for Critters. For a donation, you can get your car cleaned. There will also be several animals there that are up for adoption. It's from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Sheetz in Fairlawn.
The Green Hill Highland Games return to Roanoke County. Athletes in kilts will compete in traditional Scottish sports including the weight throw, hammer throw and stone put. There are also some competitions for kids under the age of 12. The games are Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
