The cars were wrapped in purple to support victims of domestic violence.
The hoods also have a purple ribbon with "Domestic Violence Awareness" across it and "Stop Domestic Violence" on the rear window.
The town and county become only the second and third departments to have a purple patrol car nationwide, with the first in Arizona.
"It shows that we will not stand for domestic violence," said Leanne Dudley, the director of Bedford Domestic Violence Services. "We understand that historically it's an issue that's been kept behind closed doors, but not in Bedford."
"It's something we were excited to do because we wanted to show the community how much we care about this issue and show the victims of the crime how much we care about this issue," said Bedford Police Chief Todd Foreman.
The paint was paid for by an anonymous donation to Bedford Domestic Violence Services, with no cost to taxpayers.
