ROANOKEÂ (WSLS10) People in the Star City wore green and spent some green in downtown Roanoke.
Business owners say the parade boosts their clientele and allows people to see what downtown Roanoke has to offer.

Tim Belcher is the owner of Rolling Meadow Farms.
He says he has had booth in the downtown Roanoke Farmer's market for 25 years.
Belcher said within the last 10 years his clientele has increased by 40 percent.
"People are coming in from out of state just different outlying towns that have never been here before and they don't know what downtown has to offer,"Belcher said.
Downtown Roanoke officials say the parade and festivities bring in about 20 thousand people into the area.
