CAMPBELL CO. (WSLS 10) - Virginia State Police are investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash that occurred Wednesday afternoon in Campbell County.
Troopers say the crash happened at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4 in the 100 block of Old Main Street in the Town of Brookneal.

According to state police, a 1985 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck was traveling along Old Main Street when it ran off the right side of the road and struck a commercial business sign post.
The driver, identified as Wesley S. Canada, 61, of Brookneal, Va., died at the scene.
State police say he was not wearing a seat belt. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
