ROANOKE (WSLS)-
A new business is now open at Towers Shopping Center and it's serving up sweet treats.

It's called Piety and it's the brainchild of Lisa and Rob Lusk, the owners of Bubblecake Bake Shop. Instead of gourmet cupcakes, Piety is serving up "pie-babies." They're individual hand made pies and tarts.
The desserts are offered in three different sizes, small, medium and large. The idea is to give customers the kind of homemade desserts many don't have time to make at their own homes.
"If you want to eat a pie, you have to make it and it's a long process and it's a big ordeal," said Piety baker Rachel McConnel. "Then you end up with a pie this big with one flavor. The fact that we can do a bunch of little pies in different flavors and people don't have to make them themselves makes it a huge thing."
Piety also offers biscuits, muffins and croissant-doughnut style pastries. There's also a selection of more than 40 different teas, served hot or cold and flavored lemonades.
It's located on the upper level between The Fresh Market and McAlister's Deli.
Piety is not the only shop opening at Towers. Mission BBQ will open in the coming weeks.
