AMHERST COUNTY (WSLS 10) - A 17-year-old boy turned himself in on Thursday in connection to a shooting late last month in Amherst County.
He now faces charges of attempted murder, malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a juvenile.
On August 24, 21-year-old Trayshawn Davis, of Madison Heights, was shot in Madison Heights at the Triangle Market just after 8 p.m., according to the Amherst County Sheriff's Office.
Davis has since been treated and released.
The Amherst County Sheriff's Office says the juvenile charged in this case has been taken to the Lynchburg Juvenile Detention Home.
