The Berglund Center is excited to announce that the Grammy-winning rock band Train will perform live at Elmwood Park in Roanoke, Virginia, on Sunday, Aug. 24, 2025. This event is part of the Vinyl Vault Concert Series and will feature special guest Edwin McCain, known for hits like “I’ll Be” and “I Could Not Ask for More.”
Train, a multi-Grammy Award-winning band from San Francisco, has achieved significant success with 14 songs on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart and 13 albums on the Billboard 200 chart. Their journey began in 1994, and they gained fame with hits like “Meet Virginia” and “Drops of Jupiter.” The latter earned them two Grammy Awards and was certified RIAA 7x platinum.

In 2011, Train won another Grammy for “Hey, Soul Sister,” a global hit from their album “Save Me, San Francisco.” The band has sold more than 10 million albums and 30 million tracks worldwide, with numerous accolades, including three Grammy Awards and two Billboard Music Awards.
This summer, Train is touring the country with REO Speedwagon and recently released a new album, “Live at Royal Albert Hall.” Train’s frontman, Pat Monahan, is also involved in ventures outside of music, including his award-winning wine portfolio, Save Me, San Francisco Wine Co.
