Let’s be honest — Michael Strahan really had his followers fooled with this one.

The TV personality posted a video to his social media accounts documenting his dental appointment to get his famous tooth gap cosmetically fixed.

Strahan’s short documentary-style video captioned, “I did it. #GoodbyeGap,” chronicled his dental appointments. One shot of the video had him sitting in a patient’s chair while talking to his dentist about his excitement towards this new change in his life.

Fans inundated his comments saying how much they loved the gap and how it was a part of him.

Strahan posted a video update while wearing a face mask, talking about how much people loved his signature gap and expressed their upset feelings over him getting rid of it.

He revealed that it was indeed a prank, saying the “gap is here to stay,” and we can call thank his mother for that because apparently, “momma likes it.”
