PULASKI COUNTY – Pulaski County is one step closer to a new middle school. This comes after months of controversy over whether to spend the money on new construction or renovate existing schools.
At a meeting Wednesday night, school leaders will reveal the location where the proposed school could be built, the design, number of classes, electives and how to pay for the building.

The draft sketches show a two-story building with a courtyard. Also in the site plan is a football stadium complex, two multi-purpose fields, a baseball field and softball field.
There are some interior floor plans that were presented last month but the superintendent says those may change and have not been finalized.
Superintendent Kevin Siers says his recommendation is to build a new middle school, not renovate existing schools.
Dublin Middle School was first built in 1951, and neither of the existing schools have air-conditioning. It would cost about $45 million to build the new school and Siers expects to release a better estimate at the meeting.
Siers said it is up to the board of supervisors to approve construction. This comes after earlier this year, when dozens of people demanded supervisors put the decision up for a vote in November.
The meeting is at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Little Theater of Pulaski County High School.
