Renovations progress at Glenvar High School

ROANOKE COUNTY (WSLS 10) - Renovations are progressing as construction continues at Glenvar High School.

A construction project to expand Glenvar High School is well underway. Back in 2014, the Roanoke County Board of Supervisors approved $20 million in bonds to fund project.

Some of the updates include a new cafeteria, library, gym floor and classrooms.

Director of Operations for Roanoke County Schools, Martin Misicko said, "Before, we had small classrooms and a lot of interior walls were blown out so we could make the classrooms bigger and we thought ahead with technology and learning. Everything is wireless at this point they have active boards and they're bright and clean, and it's a fun place for students to be."

The project is expected to be completed by the end of November.
