Quick and Easy Apple Tart

Ingredients:
1 whole Sheet Puffed Pastry, cut in half
4 whole Gala Apples, Cored, Halved, Sliced, But Not Peeled
1/2 lemon
3/4 cup Food Lion brown sugar
1/4 tsp Food Lion cinnamon
1/4 cup My Essentials raisins (optional)
1/4 cup chopped Food Lion walnuts or slivered almonds (optional)
1/4 teaspoon Salt
Preparation:
1.) Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
2.) Place (thawed) puffed pastry rectangles onto a baking pan that's been sprayed with nonstick spray or (preferably) use parchment or a silicone mat
Core, half and slice your apples. Squeeze with lemon juice and toss in mixing bowl.
3.) Add sugar and salt to apples. Stir to combine. Allow to sit for a few minutes for flavors to meld.
4.)Arrange apple slices on the pastry rectangles in a straight line, overlapping as you go. Place tart in oven and turn down to 400 degrees.
5.) Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until pastry is puffed and golden brown.
6.)Remove from pan immediately and place on a serving platter. Serve plain, with caramel topping, whipped cream, Food Lion brand Ice Cream or a sprinkling of powdered sugar or cinnamon.
