Low Country Shrimp Boil with Smoked Sausage

This one-pot meal is bursting with flavor. Easily doubled, this recipe is perfect for a summertime get-together. Add a salad and crusty bread to complete the meal.

Ingredients

•  2 lemons, plus extra wedges for serving

•   1 ¼ tsp of Nature's Place Roasted Garlic

•  1 red onion, quartered

•  1 bay leaf

•  1/2 cup seafood seasoning

•  1 pound baby red potatoes, halved

•  4 ears of corn halved, husks removed. (frozen mini ears of corn can be used as substitute)

•  1 16 ounce package  fresh Food Lion Mild or Hot Italian Sausage or Food Lion Brew-N-Brats sausage,  sliced

• 1 16 ounce bag of Food Lion Frozen shrimp

Directions

1. Fill large stock pot halfway with water. Half lemons. Squeeze lemon juice into water, then add lemon halves, garlic cloves, onion, bay leaf and seafood seasoning. Stir, and heat to boiling. Reduce to medium and cook for 4-5 minutes.

2. Add potatoes. Cook for 10 minutes.

3. Add sausage and corn, stirring to combine. Cook mixture for 6 minutes.

4. Add shrimp. Cook for 3 minutes, or until shrimp are pink and cooked completely.

5. Remove from heat. Strain liquid and spread mixture evenly in serving dish. Serve with lemon wedges and cocktail sauce.
