Brief and minor cool-down Thursday and Friday - CM 🌸
TONIGHT-THURSDAY
The sky continues to clear, leaving us with a pleasant and breezy evening.
Once the wind calms, overnight lows will fall to about 41 to 47°. We're not concerned with frost as we were earlier in the week.
Sunshine and a breeze from the north Thursday will keep high temperatures in the mid to upper 60s.
FRIDAY & SATURDAY
Clouds get wedged into the area Friday, along with the chance for a stray shower at night. That chance for a stray shower will mostly be north of the Roanoke Valley as a warm front lifts north Saturday.
We'll trade morning clouds for a gradually clearing sky Saturday afternoon and evening.
Friday's highs will be in the 60s after starting in the 40s. We'll begin in the upper 40s and lower 50s Saturday before reaching the upper 60s and lower 70s.
NEXT WEEK
High pressure becomes the more dominant feature in our weather. A southwest wind around that will warm things up.
Sunday afternoon will be in the upper 70s and lower 80s. Monday will be even warmer. A few stray showers Tuesday will be possible. Otherwise, we'll be in the low to mid 80s again.
