Wednesday Evening Weather Update
Showers continue to track through our eastern zones. Both Lynchburg and Southside will see intervals of on and off rain through the overnight hours that carry over into Thursday morning. Because of the curtain of clouds draped over the region, temperatures remain in the 40s tonight.
TOMORROW
Early morning showers for Lynchburg and Southside with a few sprinkles possible across the Roanoke Valley. Mostly cloudy skies begin to clear around lunch hour and eventually skies turn partly cloudy, then mostly clear. When this happens, the wind will start to increase. A sustained breeze near 15mph with gusts close to 30mph will be felt in the afternoon.
FRIDAY
Skies remain clear, and warmer air begins to funnel in as temperatures return to the mid-upper 60s. Winds continue to gust near 30-40mph during the day.
THE WEEKEND
Temperatures are increasing on Saturday with highs in the low 70s. Winds remain breezy with gusts from time to time. A couple of light showers could tag the Highlands and the NRV late in the night and into Sunday morning. Easter Sunday is warm with temperatures getting into the mid-70s. Rain chances remain limited but could pop up around early morning service. Other than that, Easter is mostly dry.
