NEW RIVER VALLEY, Va. – New River Valley drivers are asked to stay off the roads on Tuesday night.
There have been several reports of backups and slick spots on Interstate 81.
The Sheriff's Office and the Virginia State Police said they're in the process of clearing numerous accidents on area roads.
Chief meteorologist Jeff Haniewich said that, because of the cold temperatures, there is icing on the roads.
