Habitat for Humanity teams up with CBIZ to build home

ROANOKE, Va.Habitat for Humanity is finishing off its Fall Women's Build project this week. The organization has teamed up with its sponsor CBIZ for the project.

The two organizations have dedicated Oct. 16 through Oct. 20 as Fall Women Build Week. The week is designated to help bring awareness and “advocate affordable housing and spotlight homeownership challenges”, according to Habitat for Humanity officials.

A total of 60 female volunteers from the organizations have helped build a home for a family in need. CBIZ promotes and encourages their workers to give back to the community as much as they can while they are a part of the organization.

“This gives CBIZ women an opportunity to give a hand and help someone else enjoy everything that is here to offer,” said Paige Green, client experience leader at CBIZ.

Habitat for Humanity’s goal is to partner with families to help them become homeowners and build decent affordable homes with zero-profit and zero interest mortgage. If interested in helping this organization be sure to follow this link.
