MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Va. – (UPDATE 4:15 PM)
All lanes on 81 are now open and everything is under control.
Motorist can expect delays on I-81, mile marker 129, due to a vehicle fire.
Virginia State police say the interstate is shutdown due to a truck that was hauling propane when the tanks started exploding.
The left shoulder and left lane are closed. Traffic backups are approximately 3 miles and there are currently 2 miles of southbound congestion.
Police don't know the caused the fire.
