WYTHE COUNTY, Va. – A vehicle fire is causing a major traffic issue on I-81 in Wythe County.
At one point, all southbound lanes were closed at mile marker 71, which is close to the Interstate 77 interchange and traffic was backed up for 6 miles.

As of 4:02 p.m., the southbound right shoulder is closed and the off-ramp has been narrowed.
