Roanoke City police investigate Valley Metro bus crash

ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - Roanoke City police are investigating following a bus crash that happened Monday morning.

Roanoke City police spokesman, Scott Leamon, says Christopher Roderick Ulma, 42, of Moneta ran a red light at the intersection of 2nd Street and Campbell Avenue and hit a Valley Metro bus.

The crash happened around 11:20 a.m. Monday.

Four people on the bus were taken to the hospital for treatment for minor injuries, according to Leamon.

Ulma was issued a summons for violating the open container law and disregarding a traffic signal.
