LYNCHBURG, Va. – On Friday, Daily Bread, a group that serves food to the hungry received an almost $4,000 donation.
The money came from community donations of unwanted change to “Change for Change Caring Meters” around Lynchburg.
Lynchburg Daily Bread Executive Director Tracey Dixon said the donation could not have come at a better time.
“Daily Bread is struggling to meet the tremendous needs right now with kids out of school, high costs in the grocery store,” Dixon said. “More people than ever are coming to us for help and food.”
