Please hold your applause until the end of the blog. Your air conditioners and electric bills are about to rejoice. If you’re not a fan of the heat…you can start thanking the “wedge!” By Wednesday, the wedge looks to sneak into the area providing us with clouds, showers, and much cooler air. High pressure has decided to park itself over New England inducing those cooling effects.
Over the next few days, particularly Wednesday, we will be much cooler as most places may not even make it out of the 70s. If the wedge sets in early enough Wednesday, highs may even be held in the mid 70s. We’ll start to warm things up a little Thursday and Friday. Don’t worry..if you like the heat it will be back for the weekend!
We have to go back almost a full month to find air this cool arriving to the area! It was 73 degrees back on the 4th of July.
Savor it as we still have the potential and likelihood for more heat as August and eventually September carry on.
