BEDFORD COUNTY (WSLS 10) – One man is dead and another was taken to the hospital after a crash in Bedford County.
Virginia State Police say the crash happened at 9:21 p.m.on March 24, on Diamond Hill Road, one-tenth of a mile west of Moneta Road.

58-year-old William Cadd, of Moneta, was driving west on Diamond Hill Road when his truck ran off the right side of the roadway. He overcorrected and crossed the center of the roadway, crashing into a van.
Police say Cadd was not wearing his seatbelt and died at the scene.
The van was driven by 26-year-old James Kirk, of Moneta, who police say was not wearing a seatbelt, and was taken to the hospital for his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
