New science exhibit makes hit on opening day

ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - There's a new exhibit featuring life-sized toys that's already a hit at the Science Museum of Western Virginia in Roanoke.

Tuesday marked the opening day of Toy Joy.

Hours after the museum opened, workers say families and their kids have literally been all over the highly interactive exhibit.

Some of the features include life-sized legos, a giant Light Bright game and a colossal kaleidoscope.

"I recommend Toy Joy, because it's fun. It's lots of fun to play with all the bricks and building stuff," said Evan Miller while relaxing on a bed made out of legos.

The exhibit isn't just for kids. Adults can also learn about the science behind their favorite childhood toys.
