Roanoke Police charge FedEx driver with DUI

ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - The driver of a FedEx van was taken into custody and charged with DUI on Sunday.

Roanoke police say they saw the van being driven erratically along Patterson Avenue just before 9 p.m. Sunday night.

An officer tried to stop the vehicle, but when the officer got out of his car, the driver took off.

A few minutes later, officers stopped the van near the intersection of Kirk Avenue and Second Street downtown.

The driver, Brian Jackson, was arrested and charged with DUI.
