Martinsville Police searching for shooting suspect

MARTINSVILLE (WSLS 10) - Police are looking for a man wanted in connection to a shooting in Martinsville.

Police have issued three warrants for 20-year-old Malik Devantae Manns in connection to a March 13 shooting.

The warrants issued are all felonies and are for malicious wounding-victim severely injured, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and discharging a firearm in a public place causing Injury.

Police say the shooting happened on March 13 at about 10 p.m., in the 200 block of Moss Street.

When the officers arrived, they were told the man involved in an argument with Manns was taken to the Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County Emergency Room with a gunshot wound.

Police say the victim had a single non-life threatening gunshot wound to the torso and was later taken to Baptist Hospital in North Carolina.

Police say Manns is 5'10" and weighs about 160 pounds. He was last seen at 95 Jonathan Way in Henry County and is considered armed and dangerous.
