Disabled Amherst County man dies months after move against mother’s wishes

MADISON HEIGHTS (WSLS 10) – A severely disabled man who was moved out of the Central Virginia Training Center has died.

Tyler Bryant and his brother, Taylor, were moved from the Amherst County facility earlier this year to another center in Petersburg.

Tyler died on Thursday and a graveside service was held on Monday, according to an obituary.

Bryant’s mother tried to stop the move as her attorney filed an injunction, but a judge denied it.

“I’m very concerned this will harm them or kill them,” said Martha Bryant to WSLS 10 in December 2016 about what may happen to her two severely disabled sons
