Homeowners unaccounted for after Maryland home explosion

ROCKVILLE, MD (WSLS 10) – A large explosion occurred overnight at a home in Rockville, Md.

The blast happened just after midnight.

Fire officials say that the occupants of the single family home have not been accounted for.

They describe the scene as “catastrophic.”

It took about 75 firefighters 20 minutes to put the fire out.

Some neighboring homes were damaged.

The cause of the blast is under investigation.

Utility and gas crews are at the scene.
