ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - Roanoke Valley Gives Day was a huge success. The total raised is $712,804! The goal for the day was half a million dollars to more than 150 non-profits.
"We have been completely blown away by the support from our community today. We knew they were generous and the day would be a success but this takes my breath away," said Beth Kelley, the Accounting Director for Foundation for Roanoke Valley.

The Foundation organized the event for the second year. Non-profits were competing for extra dollars with prizes to the group with the most money raised, most unique donors and most small donations.
