BLACKSBURG (WSLS 10) – Al Roker from the NBC Today Show will be doing another Rokerthon in 2017 and Virginia Tech is trying to get him to visit Blacksburg. The Today Show put out a call to all universities asking for video submissions.

“Relay is attempting to break the Guiness World Record for the most hair donated to charity in one hour with the help of local Blacksburg hair salons. Please watch this video that VT Relay submitted to Rokerthon 2017 to find out more information,” said in a facebook post submission.

WSLS 10 was in Northern Virginia for Rokerthon 2016 when he visited all 50 states to forecast the weather. In 2015 he broke a record for the most hours of weather forecasting at 34 hours.
