ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - In its Salem district, the Virginia Department of Transportation is reporting wet roads, but no reports of road conditions due to snow or ice.
However, VDOT does advise that drivers should watch for possible slick spots, particularly in the higher elevations and in cooler areas as temperatures are hovering right around freezing.

Pavement temperatures have stayed above freezing overnight, so the wintry mix of rain, sleet and snow that has fallen has not accumulated on roadways, but a change in just a few degrees in the temperature could cause icing, so drivers should use caution, particularly in the higher elevations where conditions could change if the temperature falls.
