Weak earthquake shakes central Virginia

GOOCHLAND COUNTY (WSLS 10) - An earthquake in central Virginia rumbled parts of Goochland County and nearby areas.

The U.S. Geological Survey reported the magnitude 2.3 earthquake hit just after 10 p.m. Sunday.

Earthquakes with magnitude of less than 2.5 are not often felt, but people in Short Pump and Richmond reported feeling the quake, saying it sounded like a loud rumble of thunder.
