Harlem Globetrotter brings smiles to Carilion Children's Hospital

ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - The "ambassadors of goodwill" made stops across Roanoke on Monday.

Harlem Globetrotter Zeus McClurkin showed off his smile and talent on Monday afternoon.

He showed off some of his skills as part of smile patrol at Carilion Children's Hospital.

It's a hospital community outreach program designed to get a smile on the faces of kids who may not be able to see the Gglobetrotters perform when they're in town.

"I kind of feel for these kids that they're here. They really take it in stride though. They keep a smile on their faces the whole time. So I'm just trying my best to enlighten them and in light and their families," said McClurkin.

He also stopped by the Eureka Center to spread a bully prevention message.

The Harlem Globetrotters will perform at the Berglund Center on March 23 at 7 p.m.
