Parry McCluer girls face George Wythe in 1A title game

BUENA VISTA (WSLS 10 SPORTS) - Parry McCluer will play George Wythe Thursday in the 1A state title game. The Lady Fightin' Blues are one of three area schools hoping to win their first ever basketball state championship.

Parry McCluer lost in the semifinal last year, Thursday they will have a rematch of the Region 1A final against the Lady Maroons, a game the Maroons won by six points.

"We're just trying to keep our composure and push forward and hopefully come out with a win," said guard Madison Dunlap.

Head coach Adam Gilbert added, "we know what George Wythe is going to do but they know what we're going to do. So it's just a matter of who's going to show up tomorrow afternoon and execute a little bit better than the other and hopefully that will be us."
