Police investigating after early-morning stabbing in Lynchburg

LYNCHBURG (WSLS 10) - Police are investigating after a man was stabbed in Lynchburg.

Police say it happened at about 4:40 a.m. on Tuesday, in the 1200 block of 16th Street.

When officers arrived they found a 24-year-old Lynchburg man suffering from a stab wound to his leg and a cut to his hand.

He was taken to the Lynchburg General Hospital where he is currently receiving treatment for his injuries.

At about 6:00 am officers located the suspect who had been identified as Keith Edward Moss, a 35-year-old resident of Lynchburg.

Moss was taken into custody without incident and is charged with abduction, robbery and malicious wounding.

He is being held at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail without bond. The incident remains under investigation by the LPD’s Criminal Investigation Division.
