Human remains found in Fairfax County park

FAIRFAX COUNTY (WSLS 10) - Two sets of human remains are found at a park in Fairfax County.

Police say they believe those bodies are connected to previous gang related homicides.

They found the remains after receiving a tip that a body had been dumped in a park.

"Two years ago we were standing here reporting to the community that we recovered two bodies from this exact park.  Those were two gang homicides.  It's more than likely that the recovery of the remains that we have today in this active crime scene will be linked to another set of gang murders," said police chief Edwin Roessler.

The remains have been sent to the medical examiner for an autopsy.
