(WSLS 10) - Part of the Route 29 Expressway will be reduced to a single lane today. Both north and southbound sides will be affected from Carroll Avenue to the Kemper Street bridge. Crews will preform routine safety inspections between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Sweet Briar College holds an open house today for high school seniors, transfer and adult students. The day includes campus tours, a discussion about student life and financial aid. Admissions personnel will review applications and offer admission to qualified candidates on the spot.

A rally takes place today in Lexington at the office of Delegate Ben Cline. Cline introduced legislation in the General Assmbly that would de-fund Planned Parenthood. Two groups will rally in protest, in an effort to protect women's rights. Backers of the bill said that funds should go to more comprehensive health centers. Part of Randolph Street will be closed for the 4 p.m. event. While the legislation passed the General Assembly, it was vetoed by Governor Terry McAuliffe.
