(WSLS 10) - The Virginia Gift Show continues today at the Wytheville Meeting Center. The event connects wholesalers with retailers. The show features items ranging from apparel, souvenirs, toys and jewelry.

Two-time Most Valuable Player in the NBA, Steph Curry, will speak today at Liberty University's convocation as part of a Kick'n It for Africa Humanitarian Partnership. Kick'n It uses pop culture and sneaker fashion to support community service efforts. Curry is on that organization's board. Convocation begins this morning at 10:30 a.m. in the Vines Center.

Sentencing takes place today for the Henry County man found guilty of killing a suspected drug dealer. James Moore was found guilty of killing Noel Navarro-Pena in June of 2014 and use of a firearm in commission of a felony. A second suspect, Jonathan Rivera-Olvera, is expected to enter a plea in court today.

The new CEO of the Virginia Economic Development Partnership will be in Lynchburg today and tomorrow. The Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance is hosting Stephen Moret. He will meet with economic developers, businesses and community leaders. As CEO of the partnership, Moret will lead the state in business retention and recruiting.
