An Angel @ Big Island

We’re Calling Her A Hero For One Good Reason: Because She Is One. Angelika Gutierrez is a teacher’s aide at Big Island Elementary School….where she’s better known as “Mrs. Angel”. Breakfast yesterday was going as planned until 6 year old Caleb Sims swallowed a large chunk of banana and began choking. Caleb’s brother Carson noticed that he was having trouble and rushed to his side. Staff then rushed in, and that’s when Mrs. Angel took over, administering the Heimlich maneuver until the banana came forward…..saving Caleb’s life. It all takes place at the middle table on the left side of the video. We’re very proud to have you on our team, Mrs. Angel. Thank you for such an unbelievable job well done. #BigIslandAngel #Hero
