BLACKSBURG (WSLS 10) - The Blacksburg Town Council rejected the latest plan to develop the old Blacksburg High School site.
Last week, a local developer submitted a plan that would repurpose the old building as a storage facility for Virginia Tech, while donating the front land to the town for recreational use.
That plan would have required rezoning, which town council decided it was not willing to do.
No word yet on whether the Montgomery County Board of Supervisors is now pursuing any other options.
