Emergency crews rescue child stuck in Bedford County swamp

BEDFORD COUNTY (WSLS 10) – A child stuck in a swamp in Bedford County has been rescued, according to Bedford County dispatch.

A 6-year-old boy was trapped in a swamp up to his waist behind his out in the 1200 block of Coltons Mill Road, according to Bedford Fire Department Assistant Chief Jeremy Garten.

His crews were dispatched to the home at 4:39 p.m. and removed the boy from the swamp at 5:05 p.m.

No one was injured during the rescue.
