WYTHE COUNTY (WSLS 10) - The Wythe County Sheriff's Office is searching for the man it says is responsible for an armed robbery that happened on Sunday night.
At about 8:30 p.m., a black man entered a convenience store located off Interstate 81 Exit 80 committed armed robbery, according to the sheriff's office. T
The sheriff says the man pointed a pistol at the clerk, demanded money and provided a black plastic bag for the clerk to put the money into.
The clerk then emptied the money from the register into the bag and gave the bag to the suspect who left the store and entered a light-colored SUV, possibly a Nissan Xterra.
