(WSLS 10) - Therapeutic Recreation Services of the Roanoke Valley holds a Valentine's Dinner Dance for people with disabilities. More than 300 people and caretakers are expected to attend, enjoying dinner and dancing. The event started more than 30 years ago.

Nominations will be accepted starting today for the No Roof Left Behind program. You can nominate yourself or someone in the community to receive a new roof. The nominations will be reviewed and narrowed down to four. Then the community votes on the winner. Nominations will be accepted through March 15th.

Part of Link Road in Lynchburg will be narrowed to one lane daily. Work will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily for the next two weeks from Old Forest Road to Boonsboro Road. Crews from Verizon will install communications cable. Flaggers will direct traffic.

Today is the deadline to submit nominations for the Virginia Lottery's Super Teacher Awards. Eight educators from across the Commonwealth will be selected to win $2,000 from the Virginia Lottery and $2,000 in classroom supplies. Since 2008, more than $288,000 in prizes have been awarded.

The Bedford County Board of Supervisors will discuss internet service in the county. They will look at the best ways to build infrastructure to provide internet coverage, especially in rural areas. The board could vote to advertise for bids from wireless companies and to hire an engineering firm to help with the evaluation process.
