Police: Radford K-9 helps police find drugs, arrest Bristol man

RADFORD (WSLS 10) - Radford police arrested a 34-year-old Bristol man on multiple charges Monday morning.

At about 11:20 a.m., Radford City Police arrested Chad Everett Johnson on illegal drug charges.

Narcotics were found when K-9 Max was alerted during an encounter with Johnson in his vehicle, in the West End Deli Mart parking lot, located at 2307 W. Main Street, according to police.

Johnson is charged with possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, a Schedule II drug (three counts), a Schedule IV drug (3 counts), cocaine, meth, possession to distribute while possessing a firearm and possession of a Schedule III drug.

Police say that as part of the investigation they seized cocaine, methamphetamines, marijuana, prescription medication, a firearm, and more than 900 dollars in cash.

Johnson is at the New River Valley Regional Jail with no bond.
