Radford police arrest man on multiple drug charges

RADFORD (WSLS 10) - Radford police officers have arrested an 18-year-old man after they say they found large amounts of illegal drugs at his residence.

The arrest happened Wednesday afternoon in the 600 block of Downey Street.

Police arrested and charged Gabriel Eduardo Yus Baez, of Radford, with possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, cocaine and MDMA, as well as possession of a firearm while in possession of Schedule I and II drugs.

Baez was under investigation due to a tip police received.

Police say they found cocaine, marijuana, MDMA, a firearm and $25,375 in cash at Baez's residence.

He is currently being held in the New River Valley Regional Jail without bond.
