The woman said she was walking home from a Super Bowl party when she was approached by a black man who threatened her, grabbed her by the arm, and stole her purse.

Police say the man looked through the purse as the woman was trying to get away. The suspect then pulled out a knife and cut the victim's face. The suspect then took items from the woman's purse, tossed the purse back to her, and ran away.

The suspect is described as being in his mid-20's, about six feet tall, with a short or "buzz type" haircut, and was last seen wearing baggy black sweat pants, a red shirt, and a baggy black zip up jacket or sweatshirt. Police say the suspect had the hood up, concealing most of his head.
