ROANOKE COUNTY (WSLS 10) - Units responded to a brush fire at the 145-mile marker on southbound Interstate 81 in Roanoke County.
Police say it happened on Tuesday at 11:46 a.m.

The fire was contained about ten minutes after the Roanoke County Fire Department arrived. The fire did not leave the area of the Interstate and crews say no structures were threatened.
According to VDOT, the south right shoulder is closed and traffic backups are about two miles.
