UPDATE: One person found dead after house fire in Craig County

CRAIG COUNTY (WSLS 10) - An investigation is underway after a body was found during a mobile home fire in Craig County.

Virginia State Police say its investigation into the fire is not showing anything suspicious.

It happened Wednesday afternoon at 1016 Happy Hollow Road near Simmonsville. The Craig County Sheriff's Office received a call about the fire at 1:10 p.m.

The Simminsville Volunteer Fire Department, along with the New Castle Volunteer Fire Department and the Johns Creek Volunteer Fire Department responded to the fire.

According to the sheriff's office, the body has not been identified.

The fire was reported by two neighbors who saw smoke.

There's no word on a cause.
