Crews on scene battling church fire in Pulaski

UPDATE 6:50 a.m. (WSLS 10) - The Pulaski County Fire marshal says the pastor estimates the fire caused about $2 million in damages. This in part, is a reason ATF is being called for such a loss.

The fire marshal says crews are treating this as an accident until they find evidence proving otherwise.

Because the building has collapsed, crews will have to work layer by layer he says. They must remove the roof, then the framing and walls, until they can get to the floors to investigate.


PULASKI (WSLS 10) - Crews are on the scene of a fire at the Pulaski Church of God on Bobwhite Boulevard.

According to the Pulaski Fire Marshal, crews were dispatched to the scene just before 11 Tuesday night.

There are currently nine fire departments battling the fire.

The Fire Marshal said there is no word on what caused the fire and it is too early to determine the cause.
