(WSLS 10) - A Moneta woman, facing dozens of charges after police say she wrongly used a work debit card and wrote checks from a checkbook that was not hers for more than a year, is in court today. Rhonda Overstreet was arrested in September. She's charged with forgery, uttering and obtaining money, credit card theft and embezzlement. Bedford Police say she stole thousands of dollars from her employer, Croft Senior Services, and from a friend.

A former Roanoke City employee, arrested on embezzlement charges, is expected to enter a guilty plea in court today. According to court records, Erin Wray was arrested in July on two counts of felony embezzlement. Roanoke city's attorney, Dan Callaghan, says that Wray was a collection specialist for the city from 2014 to 2016.

Garnett Street in Lynchburg will close to traffic starting today through May. The closure is in place between Main Street and Concord Turnpike. This closure will allow crews to work on sewer lines.
