Virginia Tech student works on the big screen before graduation

BLACKSBURG (WSLS 10) - One Virginia Tech student will walk across the graduation stage Friday, but you may have already seen his work on the big screen.

Matthew Yourshaw spent two and a half years in graduate school at Virginia Tech mastering the art of 3D animation and computer-generated imagery.

He worked on creations for the Netflix hit "Stranger Things," the Academy Award-winning film "The Revenant" and even commercials for major companies like Kellogg's.

Yourshaw plans to move to Los Angeles early next year to continue his career in animation.
